La Casa de Don Pedro knows that steady employment that offers livable wages is key to economic advancement. All of our adult education programs share job training opportunities that our partners in Greater Newark run. In addition, we work to create opportunities for our community to participate in career training and job placement as well. The programs we offer continue to evolve as we embark on new partnerships with job training programs and strengthen relationships with employers looking to hire.

Career Training

We currently offer Job training opportunities in technology and home health aid. We collaborate with Per Scholas to provide the Cyber Bridge tech training program with Per Scholas and home health aid training with Bayada.

Hispanic Women’s Resource Center

Our center dedicated to Latina women offer English as a Second language and career training support. Ingles como segundo idoma y formacion profesional para mujeres latinas.

Job Placement

La Casa is a designated Newark 20/20 Employment Hub. This means that we work to connect Newarkers with Newark jobs, which is the goal of the citywide Newark 20/20 initiative.
